TOUR ITINERARY: Day 01: Arrival to Istanbul Workshop members will be met at Istanbul Ataturk Airport and transferred into Istanbul to our comfortable boutique hotel. Istanbul is considered to be one of the most beautiful,romantic and exotic cities in the world. Istanbul has been home to artists, poets, composers and writers for generations. This evening the group will meet for welcome drinks and your host will inform about the workshop . Your tour guide will be with you to give some brief information about the sightseeings, city and the country. A welcome cocktail before dinner. Dinner and overnight. (D) Day 02: Istanbul Discover Historical Istanbul. Guided visit the ancient hippodrome area (scene of Byzantine chariot races, athletic events, victory celebrations and executions). Then visit Hagia Sophia the first church of Christianity, begun in the 2nd century AD by Constantine the Great. One of the great buildings of the world, it served as the cathedral of Constantinople and was the center of the Byzantine Empire for almost a thousand years. Continue with Blue Mosque, a unique mosque of 17th. century with 6 minarets. Visit also Islamic Art Museum near the Blue Mosque..We finish our day with Topkapı Palace, the main residence of Ottoman Sultans. A great museum to discover the richness of the Ottoman Empire. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Istanbul. (B,D) Day 03: Istanbul (Studio workshop & plein air painting) Discover todays life in Istanbul. After breakfast, Take a walk on Istiklal Street is one of the most famous avenues in Istanbul, Turkey, visited by nearly 3 million people in a single day over the course of weekends, approximately three kilometers long, which houses exquisite boutiques, music stores, bookstores, art galleries, cinemas, theaters, libraries, cafés, pubs, night clubs with live music. Visit a painting studio and workshop, meet a Turkish Painter and share your experiences. Afternoon plein air painting with your host on Istiklal street. Dinner will be at Flower Passage in Istiklal street.(B,D) Day 04: Istanbul (Ortakoy, plein air painting) Today, After breakfast the workshop group will board a private coach to travel to Ortakoy. The quarter of intellectual life of Istanbul. The meeting point of many artists, photographers, painters decorated with little souvenir shops, Turkish Coffee and Nargile shops and more…. Your host will assist workshop members to capture the beauty of this famous place . Afternoon free in Ortakoy We will return to the hotel late afternoon. Dinner at the hotel.(B,D) Day05: Istanbul (Egyptian Bazaar , Mosques Plein air painting) Today, after breakfast we will enjoy our last group painting session in Istanbul. Your host will guide workshop members with their work until the end of the day. First visit Soliman the Magnificent Mosque. Visit the Egptian bazaar and Eminönü area and painting session.. Back to the hotel, free afternoon. Dinner at the hotel. (B,D)

Day 06: Istanbul (Guided visits- Museums and galeries) Morning visit the famous Sakıp Sabancı Museum which is a private fine arts museum in Istanbul, Turkey, dedicated to calligraphic art, religious and state documents, as well as paintings of the Ottoman era. The museum was founded by Sakıp Sabancı, and was opened in June 2002. Aside from permanent exhibitions, the museum also hosts national and foreign temporary exhibitions and, hosts cultural events on the weekends. Free time in Emirgan on the Bosphorus. Our guests will enjoy the wiev of Bosphorus with the tea gardens and coffee shops.Then continue to Modern Art Museum of Istanbul. Istanbul Modern, is a museum of contemporary art in Istanbul, Turkey, inaugurated on December 11, 2004. The Museum has exhibitions on two floors. The museum's permanent exhibition, along with the shop and the restaurant, is located on the top floor. Temporary exhibitions are located on the lower floor, along with the cinema and the library. End of the day we will visit an art gallery in Istanbul. (TBA depending the schedule of art galeries.) Dinner at Kumkapı district at a sea food restaurant. (B,D) Day 07: Istanbul Asian side (Plein air painting) Drive to Camlıca Hill to have an excellent wiev of Istanbul from the Asian side of the city. Landscape workshop. Afternoon back to hotel. Dinner at the hotel. (B,D) Day 08: Istanbul Historical Istanbul painting. Transfer to Sultanahmet area. Morning plein air workshop near the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia. Afternoon, free time at Grand Bazaar. Back to your hotel. Dinner and overnight. (B,D) Day 09: Istanbul (Studio Workshop) Today is reserved for a Studio Workshop with one of the Istanbul artists. You can finish your incompleted works or you can start a new one that you have in your mind. (B,D) Day 10: Istanbul (Exhibition day..!) Today is the exhibition day at the hotel. Next to Galata Tower, the quarter of designers and painters. After the preparation of exhibition free time to explore Art Galeries around Galata and Istiklal street. Cocktail to our participants at the roof of the hotel. Share your experiences with art lovers. Farewell Dinner at Galata Anemon hotel. (B,D) Day 11: Departure from Istanbul. Workshop members can extend their staying in Istanbul Or they can discover other places in Turkey, Or they can continue to another country in Mediterranean region (Greece, Israel, Syria, Cyprus..etc..) with Tutkutours.
